Study on factors affecting vertical drilling bottom hole assembly performance and a new bottom hole assembly design method considering formation uncertainties

چکیده
Drilling a deep vertical well at low cost is very important for accelerating the exploration and development of oil gas resources. Vertical drilling BHA design key to drill well, however still an art not science in some formation. In this paper, new mechanical model bent-housing motor established, build rate prediction method considering formation properties presented uncertainties proposed. The evaluation results show that dip, anisotropy hole diameter expansion are main factors affecting pendulum performance, anisotropy, distance from upper stabilizer bit performance. case study proposed demonstrates should be taken account during process. models paper helpful maintaining verticality reduce cost.
